Privacy Policy
This policy is provided under articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and describes the purposes and methods of the processing of personal data of users of the nego-retail.it website, as well as the rights granted to them.
Data controller
The data controller is Digi Unit S.r.l., with registered office at Via Divisione Acqui 14/a, 24060 Telgate (BG), Italy, VAT number IT03012870162 (hereinafter, the “Controller”).
For any matter concerning the processing of personal data, the Controller can be contacted at nego@digiunit.it or +39 02 8239 8993.
Categories of data processed
Browsing data
In the course of their normal operation, the systems serving the website acquire certain data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols: IP address, browser type and operating system, address of the requested page, date and time of the request. These data are processed in order to deliver the requested pages, diagnose malfunctions and ensure the security of the site. They are not used to identify users, nor are they combined with other information.
Data provided through the demo request form
Filling in the “Activate your demo” form involves providing first name, last name, company, email address and telephone number. These data are processed for the sole purpose of following up on the request and arranging the demonstration. Submission of the form requires ticking a dedicated acknowledgement box: otherwise, the submit button remains disabled.
Cookie preference
The choice expressed through the banner is stored in a technical cookie on the user’s device, so that the request is not presented again on each visit. The cookie contains no personal data. The full list of what is stored on the device is provided in the Cookie Policy.
Purposes and legal bases of the processing
- Responding to the demo request: performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject’s request, article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- Operating the site, ensuring its security and preventing abuse: legitimate interest of the Controller, article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Storing the cookie preference: the preference cookie is technical in nature and requires no consent, as its sole purpose is to give effect to the choice expressed by the user.
The Controller carries out no profiling and no automated decision-making within the meaning of article 22 GDPR, and does not use the data for marketing purposes in the absence of separate, specific consent.
Recipients of the data
The data are processed by the Controller’s staff authorised to process them for sales and support functions. To operate the site, the Controller relies on suppliers acting as data processors under article 28 GDPR:
- Microsoft, for the hosting infrastructure of the site and for the storage from which the presentation video is served;
- Web3Forms, the service that receives the demo request form data and forwards them to the Controller’s mailbox.
The data are not disclosed to third parties for purposes of their own. Where a supplier processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer takes place on the basis of the safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR, in particular the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Retention period
- Data provided through the demo request form are retained for the time necessary to handle the request and, where the request results in a business relationship, for the duration of that relationship and for the periods required by accounting and tax law. Otherwise, the data are deleted.
- Server technical logs are retained for the time necessary for security and diagnostic purposes, in accordance with the hosting provider’s policies.
- The preference cookie has a duration of six months, unless deleted earlier by the user.
Rights of the data subject
Under articles 15 to 22 GDPR, data subjects have the right to obtain access to their personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and to object to processing based on the Controller’s legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, data subjects have the right to withdraw it at any time, without prejudice to the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Requests may be addressed to nego@digiunit.it. The Controller replies within one month of receipt.
Data subjects who consider that the processing infringes the GDPR may lodge a complaint with the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the Member State in which they reside.
Minors
The site addresses professionals and businesses and is not intended for persons under sixteen years of age. The Controller does not knowingly collect personal data relating to minors; any such data collected unknowingly are deleted.
Changes to this policy
Any change in the processing described herein will result in an update of this page and of the date shown at the bottom. Previous versions remain reconstructable from the public history of the site.
